architect (creative agency)
we seek an architect with a strong conceptual approach and practical execution skills to collaborate on immersive, interdisciplinary projects at lost studio. the architect will work closely with the creative director, lead art director, head of production, and other creative leads to develop spatial, structural, and experiential designs that align with the studio’s artistic vision and production needs.
this role demands a deep understanding of narrative-driven spaces, temporary and modular architecture, and the ability to translate artistic concepts into buildable realities—often blending physical structures with digital, performative, and sensory elements.
key responsibilities:
creative concept development
collaborate with creative leads to conceptualize spatial designs for exhibitions, installations, performances, and hybrid environments.
translate narrative, dramaturgical, and curatorial intentions into spatial frameworks.
design & technical drawings
•develop plans, sections, 3d models, and technical drawings as required for internal presentations and external fabrication.
•propose creative and practical material solutions, considering cost, weight, durability, and transportability.
production collaboration
•
work closely with the executive creative director & head of production to ensure feasibility, safety, budget alignment, and compliance with local regulations.
support the studio in vendor selection, fabrication processes, and installation oversight.
innovation & research
research innovative architectural and spatial approaches, materials, and technologies applicable to experimental, immersive environments.
develop proposals that push the boundaries of conventional spatial design.
documentation & communication
prepare clear, concise drawings & documentation for internal teams, partners, and clients.
participate in creative and production meetings, communicating architectural intentions clearly to non-specialist collaborators.
key skills & experience:
excellent spatial thinking and creative sensitivity.
strong skills in Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent modeling and drawing tools.
ability to integrate architecture with scenography, digital media, lighting, and sound.
familiarity with working in a fast-paced, experimental creative studio environment.
ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with varying timelines.
passion for cross-disciplinary work—between architecture, art, design, and technology.
personal attributes:
architectural degree (or equivalent) with 6+ years of professional experience.
experience in temporary architecture, exhibitions, set design, or immersive environments is highly desirable.
proven ability to deliver both conceptual and technical phases of design projects.
